Big gap between City’s pledge, proposed TCEQ Order to allow Exide to meet only minimum standards for polluting air with lead emissions

The recently proposed Agreed Order between Exide and TCEQ requires Exide to meet the MINIMUM National Air Quality Standards versus Frisco City Council’s stated objective to “assure that the Exide plant is the most environmentally advanced plant in the country or (it will) lead the efforts to stop its operation.”

There is a large performance gap between Exide’s commitments in the Agreed Order and the City’s pledged objective. See a copy of the Agreed Order for more information:
