EXIDE VERNON BREAKING NEWS: Los Angeles County Department of Public Health asks Southern California health educators to help promote blood lead screenings in East Los Angeles neighborhoods near violation-ridden Exide lead smelter
SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA SOCIETY FORÂ PUBLIC HEALTH EDUCATION
The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health is responding to concerns about lead exposure in communities near the Exide Technologies battery recycling plant in the city of Vernon, California. Public Health is offering free, confidential Blood Lead Screening for any resident, student, employee, or childcare participant within an approximately three-mile radius of the Exide plant.
