EXIDE TO SHUT DOWN PERMANENTLY!!! The fight continues…

Join us tonight for a Community Press Conference in East LA at the center of what has been described as the most impacted neighborhood. We will be celebrating, but there is more to be done.

TONIGHT – 7pm at 1271 S. Indiana St., Los Angeles, CA 90023

We want to express sincere gratitude for the generations of community builders who have put decades of work towards getting to this moment.

At the same time we want to make sure that everyone is aware that the $9 million Exide has committed for cleanup is nowhere near enough to actually cover the cost of full cleanup.

The Department of Toxic Substances Control still doesn’t know the full extent of Exide’s contamination, and therefore doesn’t know the full cost.

We must continue to keep the pressure on DTSC and the state to do right by our communities, since they have failed us for so long !
